CONTACT joins National Suicide Prevention Lifeline Network
Announcing 1-800-273-TALK
On September 1, 2009, CONTACT of Burlington County made a new service available to the Burlington County community. CONTACT is now among the 135 crisis centers receiving calls through the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline (NSPL).
The National Suicide Prevention Lifeline is a 24/7 toll-free suicide prevention hotline available to anyone in suicidal crisis or emotional distress. It can also assist those concerned about a family member or friend who may be in crisis. By dialing 1-800-273-TALK (Lifeline), the call is routed to the nearest crisis center in the national network. NSPL is administered by Link2Health Solutions Inc., a wholly owned subsidiary of the Mental Health Association of New York City.
